Emotional Wellness
It is so important to be connected with the world around us. Life goes by fast and if you don't stop to look around for a second, you'll miss it. It is also important we speak to each other with emotional maturity. So many of us in college find ourselves overwhelmed by everything. It is vital we take time out of our day to connect with the people and things around us. Walking the the park or going to a lake to fish, alone time can help calm the mind and collect thoughts. If you ever have time, check up on the friends you don't speak to as often, you never know, they could be going through a lot. Your one text or call could mean the world to them. We get so caught up with school work, social life, and family connections. It is important to add balance and to reach out if you need help.
Hey Mario, I thought your post was very relatable. I think you had a lot of good stuff to say like checking in on people. But I like your point on connecting with people. I think often times we take that opportunity for granted. Building connections with people is a privilege and a blessing. Very good post Mario.
ReplyDeleteYour message highlights such a meaningful reminder about slowing down and reconnecting with what matters. Many college students forget that taking care of mental and emotional health is just as important as schoolwork. Checking in on friends and giving yourself time outdoors can make a huge difference in how you feel each day. Balance isn’t always easy, but small efforts to stay grounded help us stay strong. Thank you for encouraging others to pause, breathe, and support the people around them.
ReplyDeleteI agree that college can be a very stressful time for many people. You're suddenly away from home and have expectations to meet. I have many friends and people close to me that experience a lot of stress from school, a common theme among them is also being in engineering. Checking on those around you is very important as you never know what someone is dealing with. This is a very serious topic and I'm glad you covered it!
ReplyDeleteI really like what you said about slowing down and connecting with the world around us. It’s so easy to get caught up in everything going on in college. Taking time for yourself, whether it’s a walk or some quiet reflection, can make such a big difference. I also love your reminder to check in on friends; even a simple message can mean more than we realize.
